Regardless of the organization or the event, the ideology is the same: Give artists a platform the express themselves fully and truthfully.

At Ottawa Music Industry Coalition, I’m the Program Coordinator for Songs from the Shed, a free outdoor concert series. These concerts are a collaboration between the Ottawa Music Industry Coalitionand the Downtown BIA taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12PM-1:30PM in The Shed on Sparks St. These shows bring life and vibrancy to Downtown Ottawa, and provide paying opportunities for artists to perform at no cost the audience.

At Sofar Sounds, I’m a Local Event Producer curating intimate and exclusive live music performances in unconventional venues. At Sofar, we want to take the audience out of the norm into a new space they may have never seen, with artists they may have never heard. Most Sofar shows are secretive in nature, only revealing the exact location 36 hours before the show, and only revealing the artists once you arrive. We also give the opportunity to artists to perform for an audience that likely knows nothing about them. These are always unforgettable events for music lovers.

Independently, I promote live music events through Xenia Music in collaboration with different businesses and organizations. Each of these shows is unique in nature, but they each provide paying opportunities to artists and incredible live music for the audience.
