The Real Story
I've been making music for as long as I can remember. What that's looked like over time has changed a lot over the years, so let me explain how to got to where I am today.
Playing music from a young age, I was attracted to the Metal and Hardcore genres in my adolescence. I had a great time writing a performing in different heavy bands, but once that chapter of my life was closed, I was faced with a challenge. How do I make music that feels fully realized all by myself? Thus I discovered the joy of electronic music production, and in turn, music production as a whole.
I studied Music Industry Arts at Fanshawe College and took that opportunity, and the years following to produce anything I could, from any genre, with any artist.
From that period of time until now, I was blessed with a variety of opporutnities, such as; playing in original rock bands, booking and promoting shows and tours for both my own acts and others, writing songs for and alongside great artists and then producing those songs to fully realize those visions, work with established lifelong musicians booking tours in international markets, representing acts at music conferences, writing grants and managing the reports following, You name it.
Today, my interests are much more simplified. I want to express myself through my own art, which I able to do under the name Xenia Philia, I want to help other artists like myself express themselves through production and co-writing, and I want to facilitate artists that have something to say in an effort of pushing their message further.
As an artist, it is my goal to make the honest art possible.
As a producer, it is my goal to realize the shared vision of the artist and myself. While I am interested in producing any song that is good, I specialize in the broad scope of electronic based productions.
As a promoter, it is my goal to bring good art to the attention of many.
If it is your goal to express yourself in a new way, bring your art to life, or expand the reach of your art, I want to hear from you.
